Airport Regulations – Bahamas

If you are traveling to Bahamas from the USA, the piece system is applied on your baggage.
The free baggage allowances are 2 pieces, each weighing maximum 23 kg (70 lbs) and up to 62 inches (158 cm) in total dimensions (length + height + width). Nevertheless, some tour operators have a reduced baggage allowance on late bookings of only 15 kg per person plus hand luggage. Passenger’s baggage allowance will be mentioned in the ticket.

If the baggage allowance is exceeded, a passenger may be charged an excess baggage charge by the airline at check-in. The passengers must remember that all sharp objects should be placed in checked in baggage and not be taken as part of hand luggage into the aircraft cabin. All hand luggage should be of a size that will fit into the aircraft's overhead lockers. For the excess baggage charge in $1.00 per pound over 50 lbs must be paid.
