For obvious reasons, in Bangladesh as in other countries, there are limits on the weight and amount of luggage which passengers can take on a flight. Luggage allowance is different for different classes. Passengers of Economy Class may check in 20 kg of baggage, passengers of Business Class – 30 kg.

Besides, each piece should not exceed a total dimension of 158cm. If you are traveling from the USA, you are allowed two pieces of baggage per person. You may also take the following hand luggage on the plane with you. Business class customers may take 2 pieces of baggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg per piece. Maximum combined dimension (length + width + height) of each item 115 cm.

Your baggage is weighed every time when you check in for your flight. If it is overweight it will be usually allowed on the plane. But you will be charged at a set rate for the amount by which it exceeds free allowance.
