Airport Regulations – Brazil

Any passenger traveling to Brazil can take as hand baggage the following: a handbag, case or equipment that can be put below the passenger seat, with total dimension not to exceed 115 cm (45 inches) and maximum weight of 5 kg, a overcoat, shawl or blanket, an umbrella or walking stick, a small photographic camera and/or binoculars, a reasonable amount of reading material for the trip.

Disabled passengers who depend on their crutches or any other orthopedic equipment may take them aboard as hand baggage.

Please, take into account that these rules are only valid for flights in aircraft with more than 50 seats. There are also specific rules on the weights and dimensions allowed for checked baggage. Passengers of Economy, First or Business Class may check in 2 bags. The difference is in weight of bags. The maximum permitted weight of one bag in Economy Class is 23 kg (50 lbs), in First or Business Class – 32 kg (70 lbs). The maximum baggage size for all classes is 62 linear in (158 linear cm) per bag.
