Airport Regulations – Bulgaria

Free allowance of checked-in baggage is 20 kg for passengers traveling to Bulgaria in Economy class and 30 kg for passengers in Business class. Please, be sure that the weight of each bag doesn’t exceed 32 kg. Items of baggage weighing more than 32 kg will not be taken aboard. All passengers are entitled to carry one piece of cabin baggage free of charge, with maximum dimensions not exceeding a max length of 56 cm, a max width of 45 cm and a max height of 25 cm. Furthermore, the sum of the 3 dimensions shall not exceed 115 cm. You are allowed to carry on the plane the following items for personal use: overcoat, a lady’s handbag, umbrella or walking stick, shawl or blanket, a notebook, reading material for the flight, a small camera or a pair of binoculars, a fully-collapsible wheelchair for a disabled passenger and/or crutches or a supporting device that the passenger is dependent on, an infant’s food (for consumption in flight) and a carrying basket. The total weight of hand baggage and items for personal use must not exceed 8 kg.

According to valid international regulations, passengers are not permitted to bring weapons, knives, ammunition, toys that look similar to real weapons and all other items of a stabbing or cutting nature. All these items must be placed in checked baggage only.

Excess baggage charged at approx £5.00 per kg. It is transported on the same aircraft provided that the necessary space is available or has been reserved in advance.
