Airport Regulations – Greece

Traveling to Greece, please, note some important rules on baggage. The passenger’s baggage is defined as the bags or cases containing the clothes and other items to be taken on his journey.
Each passenger of Business Class is allowed up to 30 kg to be handed over at check-in. A baggage allowance for infants (0 to 2 years old) is up to 10 kg. In addition to this each passenger may carry on the plane up to 2 pieces of hand baggage, of which the first may not be larger than 55 cm  x 40 cm x 20 cm (length + height + width) and the second no larger than 45 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm (length + height + width).

The weight of first item may not exceed 8 kg and the second may not exceed 5 g.
Passengers of Economy Class are permitted to check in baggage weighing up to 20 kg. Infants (0 – 2 years old) have a baggage allowance of up to 10 kg. Besides, each passenger may carry on board of the aircraft 1 item of hand baggage with maximal total measures 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (length + height + width) and maximal weight 8 kg. The maximum weight for one piece is restricted to 32kg.

The charge for each excess kg will be equivalent to 1,5% of the official IATA fare. However, any piece exceeding 32 kg has to be sent as cargo.
