Airport Regulations – Hungary

Traveling to Hungary, note some baggage restrictions which can not be exceeded. Hand baggage allowances vary according to class which you’ve chosen. Passengers of Economy Class may bring into the cabin only 1 bag with maximal dimensions 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm and maximal weight 10 kg. Passengers of Business Class are permitted to take 2 bags on the plane. The dimensions of the first one must not exceed 55 cm x40 cm x 20 cm and maximal weight must not exceed 10 kg. The second bag must weigh more than 8 kg and exceed the size 45 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm. Should the weight or quantity of hand baggage exceed the allowed amounts, the baggage representing the excess weight or quantity shall be checked in.

As for checked baggage, its weight must not exceed 23 kg for passengers of Economy Class, 30 kg – for passengers of Business Class and 10 kg for infants.

If the weight, size or quantity of checked-in baggage exceeds the allowed maximum, excess baggage charges are paid. Passengers may pay them in cash or with a credit card. Of course, excess baggage charges might be changed. That’s why you should consult the airline you are traveling with.
