Airport Regulations – Israel

Planning a visit to Israel by plane, take into consideration baggage allowance. The following hand baggage rules are based on the class of service.

Each First Class ticketed passenger is permitted to bring 2 pieces of hand baggage with total weight of 52 lb (24 kg), with one of them weighing not more than 35 lb (16 kg) and the other weighing 17 lb (8 kg) or less. Passengers of Business Class are entitled to carry on 2 pieces of baggage weighing a total of 44 lb (20 kg). One of them mustn’t weigh more than 35 lb (16 kg) and the other – 8 lb (4 kg). Economy Class passengers are allowed to bring into the cabin 1 piece of carry on baggage weighing up to 17 lb (8 kg). In any case, your hand baggage must not exceed the dimension of 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm (length + width + height).

Checked Baggage Allowance also depends on class of service. Passengers of First Class are entitled to check in up to 4 pieces of baggage whereas passengers of Business Class may check only 3 pieces. Weight of each of these pieces mustn’t exceed 70,5 lb (32kg). Economy Class passengers can check up to 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing up to 50,6lb/23kg. Anyhow, the linear dimension of each of your checked bags must not exceed 62 inches (158 cm). The overall dimensions of the 2 pieces shall not exceed 107 inches (273 cm).
