Preparing your baggage to visiting Italy, don’t forget about baggage allowance. You may carry 1 piece of hand baggage weighing no more than 5 kg and with maximal total dimensions (length + height + depth) 115 cm. It is forbidden to include in hand baggage objects that are considered a risk to flight safety, such as: razor blades; scissors; syringes; toy weapons; ; darts; sewing needles; catapults; cutlery; knives; sharp objects and work tools clubs for sporting use. If you need to transport these objects you have to pack them in your hold baggage. The dimension of the hand baggage can not exceed 115 cm (length + width + height).

As a general rule, you are permitted to carry 20 kg of baggage, which can be divided between two or more bags or suitcases. In any case, a single piece of baggage can weigh no more than 32 kg. The dimensions and weights of checked baggage may vary by airline, therefore you should contact your airline directly for information on maximum weight allowances and related fees.

The baggage must not exceed the maximum weight limit allowed by the airlines, which corresponds to the chosen class. If an item of baggage exceeds the prescribed weight or size limitations, a surcharge must be paid, which varies according to the airline company.
