Airport Regulations – Japan

If you want to travel to Japan by plane, note some regulations concerning baggage. Baggage allowance varies according to class of service. Passengers of First and Business are entitled to bring into the cabin of the aircraft up to 10 kg of baggage not exceeding 115 cm (length + width + height). Economy Class ticketed passengers are allowed to carry on up to 10 kg of baggage not exceeding 80 cm (length + width + height).

In addition to this passengers may check in up to 3 pieces of baggage, each not exceeding the dimension of 50 cm x 60 cm x 120 cm and weighing not more than 15 kg. Please, pay attention that baggage weighing more than 45 kg will not be accepted and must be shipped as cargo. In the case if a baggage exceeds the limits of free allowance, additional charges will be applied. They are different in different airlines.
