Airport Regulations – Kazakhstan
When you travel to Kazakhstan by plane, you should ensure you are aware of the restrictions on your baggage, including the maximum allowable size of your bags and the list of banned and restricted items in your baggage. All adult passengers and children (aged 2 and over) are entitled bring into the cabin 1 standard-sized bag and 1 briefcase, laptop-sized bag or handbag. 1 standard-sized bag is allowed for infants (less than 2 years). The standard-sized bag is no more than 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm (22 ins x 18 ins x 10 ins), including the handle, wheels and pockets.

As for checked baggage allowance, the weight of each bag must not exceed 23 kg (51 lbs) for the free allowance to apply and must not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs) for it to be checked in. The dimensions of each bag must not exceed 90 cm x 75cm x 43 cm (35,5 ins x 29,5 ins x 16 ins), including the handle, pockets and wheels for the free allowance to apply. You will need to pay additional fee at the check-in desk for each bag or item that is over weight of 23 kg (51 lbs) or over the maximum free allowance size limit of 90 cm x 75 cm x 43 cm (35,5 ins x 29,5 ins x 16 ins).

In the case if your baggage is over the maximum allowable weight for check-in of 32 kg (70lbs) or it cannot be repacking into smaller items totaling 45 kg (99 lbs), you will have to organize its carriage as a cargo.
