Airport Regulations – Laos

Before traveling to Laos by plane you should take into consideration baggage allowances. Each ticketed passenger is permitted to bring into the cabin of the aircraft a free baggage allowance: 1 piece with a maximal weight of 7 kg (15,4 lbs) and the sum of three dimensions shall not exceed 115 cm (30 cm x 60 cm x 18 cm) or 43 inches (12 in x 24 in x 7 in).

Airlines may require the passenger to check his baggage in case if it exceeds the quantity, weight and dimensions as specified above. As for checked baggage allowance passengers are permitted to check in 2 pieces of baggage. The sum of the three dimensions (length+height+width) for each piece cannot exceed 158 cm (62 inches). 32 kg (70 lbs) is the maximum weight per piece. If you are traveling by Economy Class, the weight of your checked baggage must not exceed 23 kg (50 lbs) per piece.
