Airport Regulations – Malawi

Acceptable free check-in baggage allowance on all international and regional Malawi flights is 30 kgs per passenger and hand baggage is 7 kgs per passenger.

Any extra weight will attract a fee charged per kilogram.

Baggage is cleared at the first airport of arrival in Malawi. Exempt: baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside of Malawi.

Passengers should have baggage declaration (Form 47) or settler’s declarations (Form P 54) depending on size of shipment.
