Airport Regulations – Namibia

Free baggage allowance: Business class - 30 kg; Economy class - 20kg.

The following are classified as carry-on items: handbag, pocket book or purse; overcoat, wrap or blanket; umbrella (walking stick); small camera and (or) binoculars; reading material for flight; infant carry basket; crutches (provided the passengers is depending on them); braces or prosthetic devices (provided the passengers is depending on them); laptop computers (not to be activated without flight crew permission); cell phone (not to be utilized during the flight).

In addition to the above carry-on items, passengers are allowed one piece of hand baggage with maximum dimensions 115 cm (length+height+width) and weight not exceeding 7kg.  

A restricted amount of baggage is allowed to accompany you on the flight, depending on the destination and the class of travel. If you require excess baggage, extra charges apply.

The excess baggage charge per kg is 1.5% of the highest normal direct adult one way economy class (Y) fare, except for: baggage is excess of the free baggage allowance as set out above, will be charged per kilogram on SW services as follows: the excess baggage charges apply to the highest normal direct adult one way economy class fare; in effect on the date of issuance of the excess baggage ticket; in the direction of travel; from the point of which checked baggage allowance is exceeded to the first point at which baggage is collected by the passenger (excluding any transfer points).
